CLASS DESCRIPTION

Hokuto Taiko Dojo's Beginner's course is designed for all new incoming students. Classes have a maximum size of 10 students and all ages are welcome. This course starts from the ground up incorporating concepts that will build students' understanding of taiko drumming with context to the history and significance to the Japanese people. Take a dive into Japanese culture and join us for a fun and engaging learning experience!

Let us take your students, colleagues, and special guests on a journey to discover the amazing power of the Japanese taiko. Whether you are introducing taiko in your curriculum, building team work with peers, or simply want to have guests engaged in a unique form of art that is centuries old, Hokuto Taiko Dojo can make it happen!

Package 1: 1-day Workshop.................$50/person

Package 2: Multi-day Workshop..............$500/day

Package 3: Multi-week Workshop.....$1000/week

*minimum 10 participants required to conduct a workshop

DETAILS

Our workshops are designed to do the following:

​

- introduce participants to the history of taiko

- improve self confidence, communication, and self-awareness

- allow participants to become immersed in Japanese culture

- provide participants the opportunity to tap into their own unique creativity

- work up a sweat by playing big, loud drums and most importantly;

- HAVE FUN!
